The 2010 HERITAGE FESTIVAL will
soon be here,
SATURDAY, AUGUST 7!
Mark
it on your calendar!
Plenty of interesting and entertaining experiences
await you. Come learn the history of the
Lighthouse and the Pointe aux Barques Life Saving
Station.
There will be music all day provided by Kitty
Donohoe, and the George Schewdler Trio. Kitty
Donohoe is an Ann Arbor musician, songwriter
and storyteller. She will present “Lighthouses
and Legends” a program of Great Lakes folk
songs and tales that celebrate lighthouses and
their keepers, sailors, fishermen and some of
the men and women who have lived on the wild
inland coasts. Harpist Mary Barnes will
be playing in the lighthouse for your enjoyment.

- Climb the
tower to the light, $2.00 per person
- There will
be an antique quilt show and vintage clothing
display
- Presentations of the life of a lighthouse
keeper and his wife
- There will be a storyteller
for the children
Shop at the PABLS gift shop, eat at the PABLS
Café or partake of the corn roast or old
fashioned ice cream.
